Doruntina Kastrati 
Artist

Doruntina Kastrati is a visual artist based in Prishtina, Kosovo. Her artistic practice spans across sculpture, installation, and moving images. In 2014, she was awarded the Young Visual Artist Award from the National Gallery of Kosovo, and she won the Hajde x 6 Award from the Hajde Foundation in 2017. She was a resident at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York in 2015, a resident at Art House in Shkodër in 2018, and at Initiators in Athens in 2018. Her work was recently shown at Eugster Belgrade, A picture of pistachios destroying the railroad tracks to cut off the path of delights (2023); Ring The Bells My Land at Manifesta 14, Prishtina (2022); Temel at Hessel Museum, New York, (2022); Life without buildings at ETH Zurich, (2022); Here (Air Carries Poison But Yet We Breathe) at ChertLüdde, Berlin (2021), What if a Journey, Autostrada Biennale, Prizren (2021); Bigger than Myself – Heroic Voices from ex Yugoslavia, MAXXI Museum, Rome (2021); Not Fully Human, Not Human at All at Kadist Foundation, Paris, and Kunstverein Hamburg, Hamburg (2021-2022); Tirana Patience, National Gallery of Arts, Tirana (2020); Public Heroes and Secrets, The National Museum of Kosovo (2020), among others.

Erëmirë Krasniqi
Curator

Erëmirë Krasniqi is an art writer, curator and researcher based in Prishtina, Kosovo. Krasniqi received her M.A. from Dartmouth College and B.A. from Bard College Berlin. As an independent curator, she has led and curated projects for the National Gallery of Kosovo, National Gallery of Arts in Albania, and 39th EVA International, Limerick, Ireland. Her curatorial and research practice engages with archives, oral history and critical fabulation to account and redress absences in historical record. Her research interests range from histories of socialist modernist art to grassroot expressions that challenge dominant historical narratives. Since 2017, she is the executive director of Oral History Initiative, an open-access archive which engages new forms of cultural production, supporting and advocating the essential work of media archives. 

Hana Halilaj
Commissioner

Hana Halilaj is a curator and researcher. She has curated exhibitions including Grey Eminence (2023), Violeta Xhaferi: Revisions (2023) at the National Gallery of Kosovo, Space for Memories Unmade (2022) at Galeria Qafa, Clubbing Insistence: After a Party (2022) at Doza Gallery and Toplocentrala, Informator (2022) at the Hessel Museum of Art, Alije Vokshi: I Decided to Draw Bigger Hands (2021) at Chert Lüdde, and Public Heros and Secrets (2020) at The National Museum of Kosovo. Halilaj previously held curatorial positions at Kunsthalle Portikus and Storefront for Art and Architecture, and contributed research to the C-MAP program at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). During the 2022-2023 academic year, she was Assistant Curator at CuratorLab at Konstfack University of Arts in Stockholm. Currently, Halilaj is a curator at the National Gallery of Kosovo. She received her M.A. from the Center for Curatorial Studies, at Bard College.

Paul Hauptmeier and Martin Recker
Composition and Sound Installation 

Paul Hauptmeier and Martin Recker are composers working in the fields of composition, sound, and multimedia art. Since more than fifteen years they have been working together as an artist duo named Hauptmeier | Recker. The duo is engaged in diverse domains, spanning opera, live electronic performance, radio art, electroacoustic music, and site-specific installation. They are co-founders and board members of ZiMMT – Center for Immersive Media Art, Music and Technology (Germany). For ZiMMT, they curate events and conduct research in the field of spatial audio. Since 2022, the duo teaches sound art at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art (Germany).

Okan Xhemaili
Architect

Okan Xhemaili is an architect based in Pristina, Kosovo. He received his master’s degree in Building Architecture from Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and his bachelor’s degree from Anadolu University Eskişehir (Turkey). Since 2020, he has been engaged as a trainee architect for matteogatti&associati. He currently works as an architect on several architectural design and construction projects at Pacarizi Architecture Studio in Pristina. 

Giovanni Giacomo Paolin
Producer

Giovanni Giacomo Paolin is an independent curator and producer based in Venice, Italy, where he founded the project space Panorama in 2023. His practice revolves around exhibition-making as a responsive collective endeavor, finding ways to nurture relations and look after his proximate surroundings. He has cooperated in various capacities with the likes of Autostrada Biennale, Castello di Rivoli, Fondazione In Between Art Film, Guestroom Maribor, Iksv, MAXXI, and La Biennale di Venezia. Since 2020, he has been among the curators of Una Boccata d’Arte. Recent projects include Building Resistance and Stelle che sorreggono altre stelle at Fondazione Elpis (Italy).  

Elena Graglia
Assistant Producer

Elena Graglia is a versatile cultural practitioner based in Venice. She received her master’s degree in Curatorial Practices at European Institute of Design (Italy) and her bachelor’s degree in Conservation and Management of Cultural Activities at Ca’ Foscari University (Italy). While pursuing her master’s, she curated Eco-existences: forms of the natural and the artificial with the support of Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi. In 2023, she engaged with contemporary painting in her capacity as a gallery manager in Milan. At present, she collaborates with local artistic institutions in Venice.  

Kushtim Thaqi
3D Artist

Kushtrim Thaqi is a 3D Animation Producer and Artistic Director based in Prizren, Kosovo. With over a decade of experience, he has made significant contributions to the marketing and advertising sectors. Thaqi’s expertise spans various domains—from scriptwriting to 3D artistry, where he excels as a character animator, modeler, and visual artist. His work not only demonstrates technical proficiency, but a compelling blend of creativity and skill. His journey reflects his unwavering dedication to innovation and relentless pursuit of excellence. With each project, he strives to evoke emotions, inspire, and leave a lasting impact. 

Ott Kagovere
Graphic Designer

Ott Kagovere is an independent graphic designer who lives and works in Tallinn, Estonia. He designs books, exhibitions, and identities for cultural institutions and publishers. His recent collaborators include Rab–Rab Press, The Trojan Horse Collective, and Foto Tallinn. Ott is also involved in publishing through projects like Dear Friend (in collaboration with Sandra Nuut) and OPA! publishing. He has a special interest in interdisciplinary practices, ranging from design to literature and theory to performativity. He is also an educator; since 2022, he has been the head of graphic design at the Estonian Academy of Arts. Ott occasionally writes about design for the likes of Sirp, Müürileht, and Vikerkaar. Nita Salihu Hoxha
Graphic Designer

Nita Salihu is a graphic designer based in Pristina, Kosovo. She is the founder of Studio Permanent, a graphic design firm with an all-female staff which focuses mostly on artistic direction, graphic design, print publications, and animations. Salihu is also the co-founder of REDO, a multidisciplinary design event that takes place annually in Pristina. She received her master’s degree in Multimedia and Graphic Design from the University of Prishtina. She designed the visual identity for the Kosovo Pavilion at the International Architecture Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia in 2018 and 2021-21, Manifesta 14 Prishtina, and many other projects for the National Gallery of Kosovo, the Gallery of the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sport of Kosovo, Autostrada Biennale, and the Kosovo Pride Parade. 

Majlinda Hoxha
Photographer

Majlinda Hoxha is a photographer based in Pristina, Kosovo—the source and foundation of most of her artistic work. In 2008, she received her MFA from Elam School of Fine Art at Auckland University (New Zealand). Hoxha’s photography draws on a language of fragmentation and displacement, and is sensitive to the recent political and social upheaval of Kosovo. Her work has been presented widely in exhibitions and festivals in Kosovo and around the world, including in Manifesta 14 Prishtina, the National Gallery of Kosovo, the National Gallery of Arts (Albania), and the Ludwig Museum (Hungary).   

Rina Meta
Communications Coordinator 

Rina Meta is a creative, publisher and cultural communications expert based in Prishtina and London. She is the curator of Lule Kosova 2024 at the Boulevard Art Institute, a series of performance and sonic events taking place in Tirana, Albania, and Prishtina, Kosovo in 2024. As the founder of GIRLS, a cultural outlet, she collaborates on publishing and communicating graphic stories, photography stories, art stories, music stories, and story stories. Currently, she hosts Radio Kosova e Lirë at Montez Press Radio.
